SubjectSpecial CARAC National Aircraft Certification Technical Committee meeting – Part V

Dear Sir or Madam:

Please find enclosed the agenda and the documentation for the National Aircraft Certification  Technical Committee meeting scheduled for June 22, 2006.

In accordance with the CARAC Management Charter and Procedures, the Secretariat will also be inviting members at the meeting to nominate a Working Group leader and elect the members for the “New accountability framework in national aircraft certification”.

According to Section 5.4.1. of the CARAC Management Charter and Procedures, membership will consist of representatives from the aviation community and Transport Canada. Generally, a WG will be limited to not more than ten individuals with specialized technical knowledge who intend to participate actively in WG discussions. Appointment of a nominee to a Working Group by the Technical Committee is made in consideration of the individual organization or member’s experience to identify and discuss technical issues. A reasonable effort shall also be made by the Technical Committee to ensure that the membership of the WG fairly represents the points of view of those potentially affected by its work.

Interested parties should forward a letter stating that they would like to participate before June 22, 2006, to the attention of Ms Nicole Girard, Chief, Regulatory Affairs.
