Electronic Equipment Design Assurance

The Electronic Equipment Design Assurance Engineering Section is headed by a Manager who reports to the Chief, Engineering. The section is organized into the two areas of  Electrical Systems, and Software, with each area having definitive responsibilities.

The Section has responsibility for provision of policy and guidance to TC aircraft certification engineers and design approval delegates, and for approval of aeronautical products, in the fields of avionics and aircraft electrical systems. Included in this responsibility are the tasks related to software aspects of certification.

The Sections' engineer participate in international standards development and harmonization activities through such organizations as CARAC, ARAC, SAE, RTCA, EUROCAE, etc.
