Type Certification Application for Foreign Designed Aircraft, Engines and Propellers (Foreign Products)

PART I - GENERAL INFORMATION

Before submitting an application for the issue of a type certificate for a foreign aeronautical product, applicants are urged to take note of the provisions contained in Canadian Aviation Regulations, Part V, Subpart 11, Airworthiness Manual Chapter 511, particularly sub-Chapter C and Airworthiness Manual Advisory 511/2. A statement detailing, and copies of, any exemptions from, or findings of equivalent safety with, the applicant's domestic airworthiness standards for the aircraft, engine and propeller as certified.
 
 
 
The type certification document or equivalent for the aircraft, engine and propeller, including any supporting airworthiness documents or equivalent, issued by the Exporting Airworthiness Authority.
 
 
 
General description of the product, including: for an aircraft, a three view drawing; for an engine or propeller, operating characteristics and proposed operating limitations.
 
 
 
The approved Flight Manual, the portions of the Maintenance Manual or equivalent document which contains the Airworthiness Limitations, the Installation Manual, the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and the Recommended Scheduled Maintenance Program (as appropriate).
 
 
 
Airworthiness Directives, or their equivalent, applicable to the aircraft, engine or propeller.
 
 
 
A statement of compliance with Airworthiness Manual Chapter 516 (Airworthiness Standards, Aircraft Emissions).
