In 2007, as part of the Civil Aviation reorganization, the three divisions that were under the System Safety Branch at Headquarters were moved to new separate branches, as follows: the Aviation Safety Intelligence Division became part of the Policy and Regulatory Services Branch; the Civil Aviation Contingency Operations (CACO) Division joined the National Operations Branch; and the Safety Promotion and Education (SPE) Division became part of the Standards Branch.
