Engineering

The organization is headed by a Chief, Engineering who reports directly to the Branch Director, National Aircraft Certification. There are six technical sections, each related to an aspect of aeronautical engineering. The technical sections are:

Powerplants and Emissions,
Structures,
Avionics and Electrical Systems,
Electronic Equipment Design Assurance,
Fuel and Hydro Mechanical Systems,
Occupant Safety and Environmental Systems.

In all there are 40 Engineering positions and 3 administration support staff in the division.
