Appendix D - Canadian Personal Property Registries
(For enquiries about liens on aircraft and aircraft title issues)
Although the registration of aircraft is governed by the Federal Government, the filing of liens and encumbrances against aircraft and avionic parts is governed by each provincial government.
Thus, Transport Canada has compiled a list of each province and territory's Personal Property Registers. Here you will have the source of the information you need to search for a lien in a specific province.
Some of the web sites contain forms in downloadable format required to conduct a search.
Atlantic Canada
All Atlantic Provinces, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador amalgamated services into one provincial site on November 1, 1997. The following web site will connect to the source of information leading to what you will need to conduct a search in Atlantic Canada.
