2012 National Aircraft Certification Delegates Conference
Friends,
It is with regret that I am announcing the cancellation of the June 2012 National Aircraft Certification Delegate’s Conference. Current and projected workload for 2011 and 2012 resulting from high levels of industry activity related to new product development programs have coincided with operating budget reductions such that the ability of my organization to prepare for and put forth a conference of the quality we have come to expect would be highly compromised.
I wish to emphasize that the National Aircraft Certification Delegate’s Conference has played and hopefully will again in the future play a strong role in maintaining and strengthening the working relationship between Transport Canada and the aeronautical product design industry, as has been demonstrated by past record attendance in previous conferences and from the feedback received.
It is not possible at this time to specify when the Conference will be re-scheduled. As we move forward, we will be consulting with the Delegate community as to its needs and perhaps new approaches to conference sponsorship and organization.
I am a firm believer in the value of this Conference in providing synergy between the Canadian aeronautical design industry and Transport Canada to enable Canadian aeronautical products and their associated design approvals to maintain their competitiveness and reputation worldwide. I am hopeful and look forward to re-engaging you on the planning for this conference in the future.
