Award Rules

  1. The Transport Canada Aviation Safety Award Selection Committee considers all nominations that meet the documentation requirements.
  2. The Transport Canada Aviation Safety Award Selection Committee only considers information provided by the nominator.
  3. Transport Canada will not return the documentation unless requested to do so by the nominator.
  4. Transport Canada may disclose the names of nominees and nominators.
  5. No claim is to be made and no action brought against the Government of Canada, or its officials, or any of the members of the Selection Committee.
  6. The nominee agrees that disclosure of material submitted in support of their nomination does not breach the terms of any contract of employment or any other contract, and that there is entitlement to make use of the material.
  7. It is the responsibility of the nominator to provide complete supporting documentation, and that sufficient evidence has been submitted for evaluation of the candidate's contribution to aviation safety.
  8. Each nominee and nominator must sign the Nomination Form, which will constitute agreement to abide by the Award Rules. The Form must be attached to the material submitted in support of the nomination.
