Aviation Terminology and Linguistic Services

The Aviation Terminology and Linguistic Services Division provides terminology, translation, editing and proofreading services in English and in French to employees in the Civil Aviation Directorate at Headquarters.

The Division is also responsible for the Working Group on the Glossary for Pilots and Air Traffic Services Personnel, which is made up of representatives from Transport Canada, the Department of National Defence, and NAV CANADA. Furthermore, the Division updates and publishes both the Glossary and the terminology records in the Civil Aviation Terminology System (CATS) on the Internet.
