Register for the aircraft certification specialty course: cancellation and waiting list

From: Transport Canada

Priority ranking

Space is limited to 24 people for the aircraft certification course.

We use a priority ranking for registration. The order of priorities is:

  1. Employees of Transport Canada Civil Aviation who need this training to do their job
  2. Anyone recommended by a functional director at Transport Canada
  3. Anyone who doesn’t work for Transport Canada Civil Aviation, who has or wants to have a delegation of authority
  4. Transport Canada Civil Aviation employees who want to do this training for developmental reasons
  5. Other government employees (federal, provincial and territorial)
  6. Foreign government and agency employees
  7. Others

We also fill spots from the waiting list in this order.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel more than 10 working days before a course starts, we won’t charge you tuition. But if we can’t fill your spot, you or your employer could be responsible for cancellation fees charged by the training facility.

If you cancel 10 working days or less before a course starts (or if you don’t show up, or withdraw from a course while it’s in progress), unless you have a valid reason:

  • For internal participants:
    • We’ll journal voucher $200 per day for each day you miss, or a pro-rated tuition fee, and you may have to pay fees charged by the facility
    • We’ll also inform your functional director of the cancellation
  • For external participants: We’ll charge you the full tuition, and you may also have to pay fees charged by the facility

Rather than cancelling, you may be able to trade your spot in the course with another person. To ask about a substitution, contact us.
