Registration Priorities

Where courses are designated as external offerings and capacity is limited, loading will proceed as per the following priority list (up to four weeks prior to a course offering):

Priority Ranking for acceptance on a course

  1. Internal participants requiring course for job function
  2. Internal/External participants recommended by a HQ Functional Director
  3. External Participants possessing/wishing to possess a DoA
  4. Internal participants for developmental purposes
  5. Other external government employees (federal, provincial and territorial)
  6. Foreign government and agency employees
  7. Other external

Course loading is not exceeded unless authorized by People Management and Learning and the appropriate functional director and shall proceed according to People Management and Learning Course Registration Procedures.

What You Need to Do

  • Complete a "Training Application Form".
  • Ensure the form has been signed by the supervisor/manager who has delegated financial authority;
  • Submit the form to Multimodal Integrated Technical Training (MITT)

On receipt of a training form, an acknowledgement email will be sent to applicants.

Participant cancellations will be filled from the waiting list on a priority basis.

1.  Six to four (6-4) weeks prior to course start date:

  • Joining instructions will be sent to all participants on a priority basis (as per priority ranking above) until the course is full (all participants receiving Joining Instructions are confirmed).
  • Training Application Forms received for courses, which are full, will be wait listed.

2.  Five (5) weeks prior to course start date:

  • Joining instructions, will be sent to participants whose applications have been received in the last two weeks on a priority basis (as per priority ranking above) until the course is full (all participants receiving Joining Instructions are confirmed);

3.  Within five (5) weeks of a course start date:

  • Applications will be confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. Joining instructions will be sent to these applicants to confirm their participation.
