General - Admission to a Flight Test
In order to be admitted to an ultra-light aeroplane flight test, or a complete re-test, and meet the requirements of CAR421.14, the candidate will present:
- photo identification;
- either a valid:
- Pilot Permit - Ultra-light Aeroplane,
- Pilot Permit - Recreational - Aeroplane,
- Licence, or
- Student Pilot Permit - Ultra-light Aeroplane;
- proof of meeting the medical standards for the Passenger Carrying Rating;
- a letter from a qualified flight instructor certifying that:
- the instructor has personally completed a pre-flight test evaluation with the candidate;
- the candidate is considered to have reached a sufficient level of competency to complete the ultra-light aeroplane flight test; and
- the instructor recommends the candidate for the flight test, and
- a completed form26-0667 Ultra-light Aeroplane Flight Test Report / Application for Passenger Carrying Rating which indicates that:
- an applicant for a Passenger Carrying Rating - Ultra-light Aeroplane has met all of the experience requirements required for the passenger carrying rating, or
- an applicant for a Flight Instructor Rating has completed a minimum of 25hours of the total flying experience required for the flight instructor rating.
