Advisory and Appeals

Advisory and Appeals, is a legal team which represents the Minister of Transport before the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada. The division also provides functional advice to the regional offices, as well as researching and preparing publications and training material.

This site contains general information on the division, guidance material and decisions from the Civil Aviation Tribunal and the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada under the heading Aeronautics Jurisprudence.

At this time, not all of the CAT or TATC decisions posted on the site have been fully processed. Some of the decisions have not been fully formatted, edited or annotated. If you require an official copy of a decision for TATC for submission at a TATC hearing or for court purposes, please contact one of our current staff or the TATCdirectly. Also, please note that not all decisions in each year are included in this site. The primary focus of our jurisprudence is enforcement cases. For a full list of cases in a given year, please contact the TATC.
