Aviation Safety Policy

Our Mandate

To provide strategic analysis, direction, coordination and advice on the development, implementation, review and enhancement of aviation safety policies in Canada, while taking into consideration harmonization efforts with international partners.

Our Objectives

As safety policy advisors we provide:

  • A framework required for informed decision-making.
  • A focal point to deal with horizontal issues, strategic vision and coordinated planning.
  • A process by which there is the identification, analysis and prioritization of aviation issues that will take into consideration influences and factors such as technology, international harmonization, accident statistics and trends, globalization, sustainable development and the environment.
