The Aerodromes and Air Navigation Services Division is responsible for the regulatory program for aerodromes and air navigation services in Canada, thereby contributing to Civil Aviation’s two key result areas, as established in Flight 2010 - A Strategic Plan For Civil Aviation:
This division is also responsible for the development and continual improvement of regulations and standards applicable to Canadian aerodromes and air navigation services. This is accomplished through international consultation and coordination to ensure harmonization with other civil aviation authorities and through detailed and formalized consultations with aviation stakeholders. This division is as well responsible for environmental issues in the vicinity of aerodromes including wildlife management, land use and noise.
