SUBJECT:  EXTENDED RANGE - TWIN-ENGINED OPERATIONS


AUTHORIZATION

1. This operations specification is issued pursuant to paragraph 705.26(2)(b) of the Canadian Aviation Regulations.  The types of twin-engined aeroplanes indicated by reference numbers and listed in section 2 of this operations specification may be flown, at the airspeed and for the time period referred to in section 3 of this operations specification, on routes that contain a point that is farther from an adequate aerodrome than the distance that can be flown in 60 minutes at the one-engine-inoperative cruise speed.  This operations specification is valid if the air operator complies with the requirements of the Safety Criteria for Approval of Extended Range Twin-engine Operations (ETOPS) Manual.

2. The types of aircraft indicated by reference numbers in Part II of the air operator certificate are:

3. The designated airspeed and the period of time referred to in section 1 are indicated below and where the word "Benign" appears following the time, it indicates that the authorization is restricted to the benign areas of operation specified in the Operations Manual:
