Personnel Licensing and Training - Fees
Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) Part I, Subpart 4, Schedule IV, Item 3.
The cost of writing or rewriting an examination for a flight crew permit, rating or endorsement, or for recency requirement is 35 dollars. Where these examinations are sectionalized, the candidate could be required to pay from 35 to 105 dollars to write one to three supplementary examinations respectively. Should more than one supplementary examination be required, financially, the candidate would be better off just rewriting the entire paper. As this is not the intention, and as it would expose the series of examinations to more chance of compromise, an additional item is proposed to allow 35 dollars to be paid per sitting where these supplementary examinations are concerned.
Add a new item between 3. and 4. stating:
Column I
"Conduct of the writing or rewriting of one or more supplementary examinations for a flight crew permit or for recency requirement, per sitting"
Column II
"35".
This Policy Letter will expire with the appropriate amendment to the CARs.
