1. Purpose

1.1  The purpose of this MSI is to establish procedures for the release to the public, when requested, of information related to the suspension of an AMO certificate.

 

2. Background

2.1  Potential customers of AMOs may request information relative to the status of approval of a specific AMO.

 

3. Procedures

3.1  When an inquiry is received regarding the status of an AMO certificate, the originator of the request should be provided with a brief statement of the applicable facts, as follows:

  1. {insert the name of the AMO} was issued approval {insert the AMO certificate #} on {insert the date}. The organization is currently issued with the following ratings in the category(ies) mentioned: {specify any category for which the AMO is approved and ratings which have been issued}.

3.2  Where the AMO in question is currently under suspension, the following details should also be provided:

  1. the approval certificate {insert the AMO certificate #} was suspended on {insert the date} and has not yet been reinstated; and
  2. any certifications for work performed by the AMO during the period when its certificate was in force, remain valid.

 

4. Effective Date

4.1 This instruction comes into effect 20 June, 1997.
