The Aircraft Evaluation Group sets up Maintenance Review Boards and participates in the MRB process when Canadian Manufacturers indicate the intent to develop a Maintenance Schedule in the form of a MRB report using, Maintenance Steering Group (MSG) analysis.
During the development of the list of tasks and intervals by the Working Groups and the Industry Steering Committee, TCCA representatives act as advisors at group and committee meetings. The intent is to avoid the introduction of factors, which will conflict with the aviation regulations and preclude the approval of the MRB Report.
On completion of the analysis, the manufacturer submits the list of tasks and intervals, including recommendations for their use, as a proposal to the Maintenance Review Board. The board, with input from the advisors, reviews the proposal, which becomes the MRB Report and is eventually approved by the MRB Chairperson.
TCCA actively participates with the following Aircraft Manufacturers in the development and revision of initial minimum scheduled maintenance/inspection requirements:
For foreign MRB activities, TC representatives attend Working Group and Industry Steering Committee Meetings to provide advisory input and identify any special conditions affecting the MRB Report for foreign aircraft operating in Canada.
