Subsequently, a communication search was initiated which resulted in numerous agencies being involved. A short time later, the aircraft was located at destination aerodrome. The pilot was sanctioned with a $250.00 monetary penalty.  
Ontario August 26, 2013 CAR 605.94(1) $525 monetary penalty
A commercial pilot operating a Piper Chieftain aircraft with passengers on board had an abnormal occurrence while airborne. After landing, the pilot inspected the abnormality and then departed in the aircraft without making an entry in the aircraft journey log book. During that day, the pilot conducted three more flights in the same aircraft. The pilot was sanctioned with a $525.00 monetary penalty.

A commercial pilot operating a Cessna 185 on floats struck a rock on take-off and damaged a float. The pilot carried out temporary repairs on the float and then signed the maintenance release which did not comply with the standards of airworthiness. Subsequently, the pilot departed in the aircraft without a flight permit which resulted in the flight authority not being met. The individual was sanctioned with a monetary penalty totalling $2,000.
