hovercraftAir cushion vehicles come in various shapes and sizes and can be operated on water and land. With technology so different from that used for conventional marine vessels, special requirements for construction and operation have been developed and adopted under Transport Canada policy.

Standards for the Construction of “Light” Air Cushion Vehicles – Under development

All ACV’s not more than 4,500 kg all up weight and carrying no more than 12 passengers
