Proposed Administrative Monetary Penalties Regulations
As part of the amendments to the Marine Transportation Security Regulations (MTSR), a separate Regulation is being proposed that will include administrative monetary penalties for both the amended MTSRs and the Domestic Ferries Security Regulations. This means that the current Parts 6 and 7 as well as the associated level of administrative monetary penalty will simply be moved into its own separate Regulation.Once the amended MTSRs are published in Canada Gazette Part 1, Transport Canada intends to commence consultations with industry on any amended or new administrative penalties that could affect them.
