The purpose of the MARINE SECURITY OPERATIONS BULLETINS is to provide specific guidance related to particular situations pertaining to marine security operations. The bulletins are related to matters such as the implementation of the marine security legislation, the inspection of industry stakeholders and enforcement of compliance. They could also be related to marine security documents. The bulletins are developed to ensure effective cooperation and coordination among all stakeholders in marine security, thus enhancing the security of the Canadian marine transportation system. All concerned stakeholders are expected to follow the directives provided in the bulletins. Marine Security Operations in Transport Canada Headquarters should approve any relaxation from these directives.
