Individual arrested for pointing laser at helicopter

Incident: Air Two police helicopter struck by a laser pointer

August 16, 1:30 a.m.

Jenna Court, Vaughan, Ontario

Tactical flight officer: These guys are continuously hitting us here now, so. I got three of them at the dead end of the court.

Pilot: Oh, they’re running now.

Tactical flight officer: Ok, Air Two. He’s over the fence. He’s fled. He’s dropped his laser. We’re going to stay with target. We know where the laser is.

Tactical flight officer: Just keep walking about five feet, four feet, three feet, two feet. Should be right there.

This individual pleaded guilty to projecting a bright light into navigable airspace.

Fine = $3,000.
