New Electric Buses Unveiled in Quebec City
Quebec City — Eight new electric buses, designed to easily traverse Old Quebec's narrow streets, were launched into service today, under Transport Canada's Urban Transportation Showcase Program. The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister responsible for Quebec, along with Mayor of Quebec City, Régis Labeaume and Quebec Minister of Transport, Julie Boulet, unveiled the buses today in Old Quebec.

Canada's Government Announces New Air Agreement with the Republic of the Philippines

Canada's First Motor Vehicle Fuel Consumption Regulations: Consultations Begin
OTTAWA — The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, today announced he is delivering on the Government of Canada's commitment to implement fuel consumption regulations. For the first time Canada will regulate the fuel consumption of new cars and light trucks, beginning with the 2011 model year. Consultations will begin with automotive, environmental and other stakeholders as part of the government's commitment to implement national fuel consumption regulations for motor vehicles.
