  • Register ships
  • Administer the transfer of ownership of vessels
  • Approve, issue, and change names of vessels
  • Register marine mortgages
  • Update Certificates of Registry (Blue Books) for vessels
  • Provide information to the public regarding registered vessels

The following services are provided by Nanaimo:

  • Accept applications for registry matters to forward to appropiate ports
  • Verify and notarize any related documentation
  • Provide information to the public regarding registered vessels
