  • Proactively identify and analyze potential safety issues and trends
  • Evaluate safety data, issues and trends to provide mitigation and prevention strategies
  • Gather information for CADORS [reports of abnormal occurences from around the region]
  • Appoint Minister's Observers to liaise with the Transportation Safety Board on accident investigations
  • Supply the aviation community with a wide variety of safety information, including a video library and other safety publications
  • Target people most susceptible to aviation risks and direct appropriate safety messages to them
