Economic & Environmental Analysis & Research (ACAB)

The Branch is responsible for conducting economic analysis and research that integrate the financial and social impacts of major transportation modes in Canada, including environmental impacts. One of its key responsibilities is the Full Cost Investigation that seeks to estimate the national and provincial full costs of transportation infrastructure and services. The Branch is developing its analytical capacity of economic instrument to manage environmental issues. The Branch also provides support to other branches for policy initiatives.
