ecoFREIGHT's Newsletter - December 2011

Updates and New Content on the ecoFREIGHT Website

With the completion of the ecoFREIGHT program on March 31, 2011, the website called for updates to reflect this change in status. The updates offer a simplified navigation while highlighting results obtained and tools developed during the program life to better understand the potential impact and benefits of emission reducing technologies.

New content is now available as a result of projects and initiatives coming to a conclusion. Here is a list of the new content available:

1. New Interactive Calculators (Available for Download)

Four Emissions Calculators have been added to the Road section of the Web site. These calculators are tools that allow you to determine potential fuel and monetary savings as well as determine the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and payback from investments. The interactive calculators are available for download in an Excel format.

2. New Case Studies Available Online

New Case Studies outlining financed project results, such as fuel savings, emission reduction and investment payback period have been added in the Air, Marine, Rail and Road sections of the website.

3. Updated Funded Projects List

A complete list of funded project for the Freight Technology Demonstration Fund, Freight Technology Incentives and Marine Shore Power, are available from the About ecoFREIGHT page.
