The Bicycle-Friendly Guelph Initiative will deliver a wide variety of educational programs and events to encourage more people to ride bicycles in a safe and convenient manner.
The Employer Individualized Marketing project aims to reduce single-occupancy vehicle travel in the Region of Peel by implementing employer-individualized marketing programs at six employment sites, reaching an estimated 9,500 employees.
The Local Motion project will bring diverse ecomobility elements together to create a functioning system in one Edmonton neighbourhood. The project will highlight alternative modes of transport, such as walking, cycling, public transit and carpooling.
The Stepping it Up initiative, led by Metrolinx, focuses on elementary schools in the Region of Peel and the City of Hamilton. The project will pilot new concepts and determine ongoing initiatives to encourage students and staff to get to school by walking, cycling, taking transit or carpooling.
The Shifting Gears project includes expanded transportation outreach and education for workplaces, secondary schools and the general community. There are also plans to expand the current monthly IWALK pilot program to include all elementary schools.
The City of Saint John, in partnership with the Saint John Transit Commission and Saint John Parking Commission, is delivering a project to increase ride sharing and the use of public transit in the local area.
The Travel Wise Community project focuses on both an industrial area and a suburban residential area by developing targeted transportation demand management initiatives for local residents and businesses. The project will increase understanding of movements at the neighbourhood and business district level.
