Déploiement de programmes Allego au Centre-ville de Montréal
Centre de gestion des déplacements du Centre-Ville de Montréal (CDG) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage corporate executives, developers, building managers and institutions to promote the use of alternative modes of transport by their employees or clients. CDG fosters and coordinates cooperative efforts of the private and public sectors.
What are they doing?
This project aims to raise the awareness of environmental problems related to transportation among large employers in downtown Montréal and encourage them to adopt measures to reduce their employees' or clients' car trips by:
- Establishing a transportation service and coordination centre for downtown businesses, developers, property managers and institutions. This enables public-private collaboration on transportation demand management projects. This centre will be known as the CDG-Centre-ville;
- Developing promotional tools to publicize services to downtown employers and employees (an Internet site, a newsletter, booth displays); and,
- Conducting outreach campaigns to recruit employers and have them promote alternative modes of transportation adapted to the needs of their employees or clients (shuttles, carpooling, transport pass, etc.), through a program known as Allégo.
This project will result in employees and clients opting for alternative modes of transportation that will help improve quality of life and ensure a sustainable future for the downtown area.
