Image - Moving to a healthier environment - Clean Air Day

The Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) is looking for ways to enhance the visibility and image of transit and create a more positive and supportive environment for public transit.

What are they doing?

CUTA is conducting research which will provide guidance to national and local organizations in identifying ways to enhance the visibility and image of public transit. The program has three primary goals:

  • to improve the perception of the benefits of public transit;
  • to influence decision-makers to adopt policies favourable to public transit; and
  • to develop a communications strategy to guide national, regional and local efforts related to public transit.

Status

Report from research expected to be released by January 2001.
