Moving The Economy (MTE) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that works in partnership with business, government, and the community to promote and develop economic benefits and innovations related to sustainable transportation. Its projects have aimed to increase the range of win-win transportation choices, attract investment to sustainable transportation and create employment in sustainable transportation.
Private and public sector players came together in June 2003 at the New Mobility Industry Forum to develop innovative industry solutions to transportation-related problems including congestion, emissions, climate change and health concerns.
MTE hopes that the New Mobility Industry Forum will help develop and promote Canada as a "living laboratory" for transportation solutions and also support a thriving new mobility industry in the Toronto region and across Canada.
Congestion, emissions, climate change, and health concerns were among the issues addressed at the New Mobility Industry Forum in June 2003.
