Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions From Forestry Haul Operations
The forest industry is the largest manufacturing industry in Canada. To conduct its operations, the industry has a fleet of more than 25,000 trucks that travel more than 2 billion kilometers per year and are responsible for the emission of approximately 5.4 million tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere annually.

Active and Safe Routes to School (ASRTS)
Approximately 25% of morning rush hour trips are parents ferrying children to school. The sheer volume of traffic in school zones creates an unhealthy and unsafe atmosphere for children.

Canadians are becoming increasingly aware that we are faced with serious environmental problems both locally and globally. Any public outreach around the issue of sustainable transportation must first capture people's attention, then answer the question "How does this affect me, my family or my community?".

Ride The Wind!
Calgary has a coal-sourced electricity powered Light Rail Transit (LRT) system in place. The electricity generation required by the current LRT releases 21,000 tonnes of pollutants per year. Replacing this energy with zero emissions electricity from wind energy will result in a transit system run on clean power.
