BikeShare
The majority of car trips are less than five kilometers and 25% of trips are done commuting from home to work and back again. If people walk or bike for a large percentage of the trips they now take by car, they could save at least 1.6 lbs of volatile organic carbons (VOCs), 12.4 lbs of carbon monoxide, 1 lb of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and 0.68 pounds of carbon dioxide per km traveled.
