Creating New Transit Communities

The Toronto Environmental Alliance (TEA) is a legally incorporated non-profit organization.  The group undertakes a variety of projects and programs in six major campaign areas:  smog and climate change, urban pesticides, waste reduction, sustainable transportation, water and youth.

What are they doing?

The "Use It or Lose It" campaign will be introduced to neighborhoods where transit service levels are on the verge of being reduced.  Using a mix of proven and innovative tools TEA aims to attract sufficient new ridership to these routes to either maintain service levels or improve them.

In addition, to the "Use It or Lose It" campaign, TEA will conduct some initial research into quantifying the impact of public transit on major venues and retail complexes.
