The urban transportation showcases were multi-year initiatives, supported by the Urban Transportation Showcase Program, that demonstrated and evaluated integrated approaches to reducing GHG emissions in the urban transportation sector. The program started in 2001 and ended in 2009 and supported eight showcases across Canada, along with starting an information network that supported learning events, awards and put together resources and web tools to address the needs of practitioners. The overall results from the showcases and from the program are available in a brochure called Leading by Example: Urban Transportation Showcase Program, 2001-2009.
