Transfer Inventory
As of April 30, 2012 a total of 488 of the 549 Port Programs facilities,
across Canada, had been transferred, demolished or had their public harbour status terminated.
-
211 declared public harbours were deproclaimed in June 1996 and March 1999
-
42 sites were transferred to provincial governments (Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario)
-
66 sites were transferred to other federal departments
-
137 sites were divested to local interests
-
8 port facilities were demolished
- 24 sites where Transport Canada's interest has been terminated
