The Confederation Bridge is the only interprovincial bridge in Transport Canada's portfolio operated under a Public Private Partnership.
The other interprovincial crossings such as those between Ottawa (Ontario) and Gatineau (Quebec) are owned and operated directly by the National Capital Commision (NCC) and Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
