Advanced Vehicle Technologies

In recent years, there have been many advances in vehicle technologies. Some of these technologies can help you avoid or reduce the severity of a crash. Others provide better protection for occupants in the event of a crash.

These technologies may only be available on certain vehicle models.  They may be standard or you might need to request the option. The manufacturer may have different names for the technology. Be sure to check with the manufacturer for further information.

Some manufacturers use several warning systems to help with crash avoidance. So it is important that drivers get to know and understand the various systems in their vehicles. 

Remember, even though vehicles may have many new advanced driver assistance systems, you still have to drive safely, pay attention and follow the rules of the road.
