CAN/CSA-B340 sets out the requirements for the selection, use, handling and filling of cylinders, spheres, tubes, and other containers for the transportation of gases in Class 2.
Section 5.10 of the TDG Regulations specifies that for transport of dangerous goods in Class 2 by any mode, means of containment in accordance with CAN/CSA-B340 are permitted.
A copy of this standard can be obtained from the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
In some cases a new edition or an amendment to a standard may have been published but not (yet) prescribed by the TDG Regulations. Nonetheless, the version of a standard prescribed by the regulations in paragraph 1.3.1 is the one legally in force.
