The ecoTECHNOLOGY for Vehicles (eTV) program explores how advanced technologies can help reduce vehicle greenhouse gas emissions, pollutants and fuel consumption in order to promote a sustainable transportation system for Canadians.
As one of the six initiatives under the Government of Canada's ecoTRANSPORT Strategy, eTV conducts in-depth testing and evaluation of the safety and environmental performance of a range of emerging technologies for use in vehicles in Canada.
Results are shared with Canadians to provide them with easy to understand information about cutting-edge technologies and their potential to help reduce the environmental impacts of motor vehicles. By showcasing these new environmentally advanced technologies at various events across the country, eTV provides Canadians with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.
eTV also works in cooperation with the automotive industry and consumers to identify and remove barriers to the introduction of advanced technology vehicles in Canada.
eTV showcase events provide Canadians with ‘hands-on' exposure and information about new and emerging advanced technologies. Find out about upcoming showcase events.
