Some U.S. GM vehicles are equipped with a switch that can turn off the Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) while vehicle is in motion. In Canada, DRLs must be permanently on once vehicle is in motion. The DRL control system of your vehicle may need to be reprogrammed to neutralize switch that permits turning DRLs off. For more information, please contact your GM dealer.
Importers can also contact GM Vehicle Vintage Services group at 1-888-467-6853 (toll free) or 1-905-440-7689 (outside Canada) to obtain a recall clearance letter.
