Note 1: [EIS] Electronic Immobilization System: for vehicles built AFTER September 1, 2007, you must read paragraph #9 of the "EXPLANATIONS" section. Note 2: Possible modifications may include: daytime running lights, electronic immobilization system (see Note 1), metric odometer and speedometer labels. At federal inspection, the RIV will verify that vehicle is equipped with daytime running lamps that cannot be turned off while the vehicle is in motion and that odometer and speedometer are properly identified. Importer must also demonstrate that the vehicle is equipped with an electronic immobilization system for vehicles built AFTER September 1, 2007. Other requirements may also apply.
