SECTION 16 - WRECKED VEHICLES

IMPORTATION OF U.S. SPECIFICATION WRECKED VEHICLES

Importer must submit a valid Certificate of Title from a U.S. State motor vehicle licensing authority

For the purposes of importation there are three (3) type of certificates of title:

1) rebuildable, etc., 2) junk, etc., and 3) clear.

Salvage Vehicles - Title indicates "rebuildable, repairable, etc".

ADMISSIBLE AS A VEHICLE	ADMISSIBLE AS PARTS	INADMISSIBLE
Title indicates "rebuildable, repairable, etc." Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as ADMISSIBLE. May be entered as a "vehicle".	Title indicates "rebuildable, repairable, etc." Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as ADMISSIBLE or INADMISSIBLE. May be imported as Parts by filling out a Form 3. Once the vehicle's intended use is declared as "DISASSEMBLY FOR PARTS", this status Can NOT be changed. These vehicles may never be licensed.	Title indicates "rebuildable, repairable, etc." Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as INADMISSIBLE. Can NOT be entered as "vehicle". This vehicle can ONLY be entered as "parts" by filling out a Form 3.

Clear - Title indicates "clear".

ADMISSIBLE AS A VEHICLE	ADMISSIBLE AS PARTS	INADMISSIBLE
Title indicates "clear". Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as ADMISSIBLE. May be entered as a "vehicle" or "parts".	Title indicates "clear". Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as ADMISSIBLE. May be imported as Parts by filling out a Form 3. Once the vehicle's intended use is declared as "DISASSEMBLY FOR PARTS", this status Can NOT be changed. These vehicles may never be licensed.	Title indicates "clear" Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as INADMISSIBLE. Can NOT be entered as "vehicle" or "parts". Importation will be denied.

Parts Only - Title indicates "junk, scrap, parts only, not to be rebuilt, non-rebuildable, non-repairable, etc.".

ADMISSIBLE AS A VEHICLE	ADMISSIBLE AS PARTS	INADMISSIBLE
Title indicates "junk, scrap, parts only, not to be rebuilt, non-rebuildable, non-repairable, etc.". Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as ADMISSIBLE. Can NOT be entered as a "vehicle".	Title indicates "junk, scrap, parts only, not to be rebuilt, non-rebuildable, non-repairable, etc.". Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as ADMISSIBLE. Must be entered as "parts". Can NOT be entered as a "vehicle".	Title indicates "junk, scrap, parts only, not to be rebuilt, non-rebuildable, non-repairable, etc." Vehicle is on List (CL9203) as INADMISSIBLE. Must be entered as "parts". Can NOT be entered as "vehicle".
