Through the Oceans Protection Plan, the Government of Canada is investing $94.3 million in this initiative over the next 5 years.

We are working with Indigenous and coastal communities, the marine industry and other stakeholders to develop and improve Canada's marine safety system.

Surveillance through this program reduces oil pollution at sea because ships are aware they're being watched.
