Become a flight reviewer for drones: 3. Apply for certificate
You may complete the application to become a flight reviewer after:
- You successfully complete the Flight Reviewer Exam
- have 6 months of experience operating an RPAS
- You’ve familiarized yourself with the Flight Reviewer’s Guide for Pilots of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems
- Meeting the Knowledge Requirements for Pilots of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems.
After you apply
Only flight reviewers that are affiliated with a drone flight school can conduct flight reviews.
You can contact one of the schools on the drone flight school list to request affiliation. A school that accepts your request must notify Transport Canada of the affiliation. Transport Canada may then grant you permission to conduct flight reviews and enter submit results online.
How long it will take to get your results
You are given the results of your online exam right after it finishes.
