Submit a drone safety assurance declaration: New drones

If you build or modify Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), or “drones”, you can make a declaration to Transport Canada identifying the capabilities of the system.

I hereby declare the following make and model of remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) has been developed and verified to meet the technical requirements for operating in the environments identified below, and the associated documentation, as defined in Canadian Aviation Regulations 901.76, has been made available and is available for inspection or retention by the Minister.

I understand and agree that by signing this declaration I am responsible for ensuring the RPAS model continues to comply with Canadian Aviation Regulations Standard 922 and Canadian Aviation Regulations 901.76 as long as it appears on the Transport Canada listing of RPAS with defined RPAS Safety Assurance Declarations.

Should you decide to complete the form, it is important to know that the submission of your information constitutes consent to the collection and use of your personal information.

Your personal information will be used for the following secondary purpose: statistical trend analysis. The personal information collected will be retained for seven years. The form containing personal information will be destroyed after 84 months (seven years).
