Master Minimum Equipment List Global Change 8
This Transport Canada Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) Global Change (GC) revises MMEL relief for Emergency Exits and Escape Slides (Passenger Carrying Operations) found in item 52-10-1 of the TC MMEL Guidance Book, Revision 07, dated 27 April 2009.
This GC is an approved addendum to all affected existing MMELs and in accordance with TP 9155 (Second Edition, January 2006) paragraph 2.6.5, affected MELs should be amended accordingly. Approval of the revised MEL shall be gained using normal procedures.
TC MMEL Guidance Book item 52-10-1, domestic MMELs, and TC Supplements will be amended in the future to reflect the revised relief for Emergency Exits and Escape Slides (Passenger Carrying Operations) in accordance with this GC.
SUBJECT: WIDE-BODY PASSENGER AIRPLANE DOOR / SLIDE RELIEF
MMEL relief for Emergency Exits and Escape Slides (Passenger Carrying Operations) found in item 52-10-1 of the TC MMEL Guidance Book Revision 07 permits a door or slide to be inoperative on both wide-body and narrow-body aircraft.
Effective August 1, 2015, with the introduction of CAR 705.226, the MMEL / MEL relief for doors / slides on single-aisle (narrow-body) aeroplanes that are carrying passengers has been revoked.
This GC 8 revises the title of item 52-10-1 of the Guidance Book to harmonize with CAR 705.226.
