Option A: Please find enclosed a cheque to ‘‘Receiver General for Canada’’ for deposit into the Special Account for the Fund for Railway Accidents Involving Designated Goods, in the amount of $xx, for the movement of x tonnes of crude oil.
Option B: This letter confirms that on (date), a payment in the amount of $xx.xx was made to the Receiver General for Canada for deposit into the Special Account for the Fund for Railway Accidents Involving Designated Goods via an electronic transfer for the movement of x tonnes of crude oil.
This remittance is for the period of (date) to (date), in accordance with subsection 155.7 of the Canada Transportation Act.
In the attachment, please find a list of rail origins and destinations for all movements for which a levy was due during this period. For each movement, the list includes the name of the shipper required to pay the levy and the volume of designated goods transported.
